LESSONS LEARNT FROM RECENT TRAGEDIES IN BANGLADESH GARMENT FACTORIES
There was a widespread of pledges to reform the building industry and improve worker-safety standards in Bangladesh since 2005 or earlier. But since then, very little has changed or improved. These recent tragedies in Bangladesh are the wake-up calls for the country, for the industries – building industry and manufacturing industries, for the trade unions, for the brands, for the factory owners and for the related stakeholders on the working conditions in general and safety problems in particular in Bangladesh’s garment industry which is the second largest in the world, just behind China.

OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENT:
EYE INJURIES – THE RESULTS OF EYE INJURIES ARE NOT INCONSEQUENTIAL!
EYE INJURIES – THE RESULTS OF EYE INJURIES ARE NOT INCONSEQUENTIAL!
Eyes are like windows that carried light into the body and windows of the soul. They are the parts of our body that perceive light and the lamp of the body. If the eyes are good, the whole body will be full of light. But if the eyes are bad, the whole body will be full of darkness. They allow us to see the world and to understand how objects relate to each other, to distinguish the distance of objects, to determine their color and shape. Just close our eyes and imagine we have not seen ever the world and anything, we will not have an idea with what it looks like when we only feel it. Eyes are very important for the human body. It helps the human body to do its tasks with coordination. Without it, a man won't be able to see the beauty of this wonderful world. Without eyes, the five basic senses would not be complete.
